Our intensive work on improving existing and developing new products has resulted in new applications, including in the catalyst industry. For this purpose, Silkem has developed special boehmites SIBOM®and zeolite activated granulate Asorbio® ZAG.
Boehmites SIBOM®
Boehmites SIBOM® are used as catalyst supports in fluid catalytic cracking (FCC).
Microcrystalline boehmite improves the attrition resistance of catalysts and is a suitable metal neutralizer (neutralization of nickel impurities).
Catalysts are prepared by peptizing a mixture of zeolites, boehmites and rare earths.
Boehmite can be a catalyst or a carrier of chemical processes.
Zeolite activated granulates ASORBIO®
Zeolite activated granulates ASORBIO® (e.g. ZAG-MFI) are used as catalysts in the chemical industry in various organic and inorganic reactions or as carriers of active components in catalytic reactions.
Their most important application is in oil refining, where these catalysts help to increase yields and improve the quality of products.
